interactive design [n.Vida]
"An interface is humane if it is responsive to human needs and considerate of human frailties" -Jef Raskin
n.Vida The immigration number grows every year. Many people that come from a Mexican heritage have been living in the United States for up to 4 to 5 generations. Some of these families still have relatives in Mexico. Some of them have adopted the U.S. way of living but still cling to their Mexican background.
n.Vida is an interactive cartography project that serves as a social experiment as well as an archive of memoirs.
n.Vida gives a posibility to reconnect with the Mexican culture as well as with possible family members that are currently living or moving within the United States. Users are able to search, browse and look into others content, as well as speciļ¬c states within the United States and Mexico.
The feed of the map is based on the path and experiences of the users, which have a related background linked to Mexico and their journey to the United States.
People related to the map will have the chance to learn from their heritage, interact with other people and be part of live archive that ties the history of these two nations together in a contemporary way.
n. Vida is a sociological tool to connect with the past, understand the present and map the future.
