About Ana Rifa!

transmedia design [interface]
"Interface is any point of contact between two complex systems that governs the condition of change between those two" -Benjamin Bratton

INTERFACE is a transmedia piece broken down into three types of media: print based, moving image and interactive. Each one was cut into three as follows:

Print Based
-Type only [Crossword puzzle in which interface is the only solution. All the answers are related to the concept of interface]

-Image only [Composition by cutlery images performing the role of the interface for humans to feed themselves as a kaleidoscope. Utensils become the mediator between the action of eating and food]

-Type and image [The skin used as an interface where a tattooed name serves as the memoir of a loved one]

Moving Image

-Moving image only [Kaleidoscope of different utensils as the interface for the action of eating]

-Sound only [Recording of a conversation where the answering machine serves as an interface. The people in the phone never speak to each other in real time but through the series of messages left in the machine]

-Image and sound [Cut sequence of the opening theme for "Candy Candy" in all of the languages that was translated when it came out. Language in this case performs the role of interface as the point of contact to adapt the animation into different cultures]

Interactive
[Interactive moog full of surprises. The user expects the interface to work in a certain way due to known usage of the moog
